Since 2008, Profpereklad has grown from a small translation agency with ten in-house translators to the largest translation company on the Ukrainian market with 8 departments, more than 50 employees, and 400 translators.
Since the company was founded, the quality of our work has also faced deep changes. We have developed our philosophy and the values we rely on in our daily activities. The development of each employee, teamwork, improvement of the company, and result-oriented approach are important to us. In the Common Sense Advisory rating, Profpereklad was ranked first among Ukrainian translation agencies and also included in the top 20 translation companies in Eastern Europe.
In 2024, Profpereklad was ranked among the top 10 fastest growing translation companies in the world according to CSA Research.
We currently complete more than 10,000 projects annually, with a total value of about $2,000,000. Thanks to our rigorous quality control, we have less than 0.4% complaints about the quality of completed projects, which is five times better than the average in the translation industry.

We specialize in working with corporate clients, so we have built our business process to meet their needs in terms of translation quality and customer service. We are trusted by more than a hundred international organizations, including the UN and the Council of Europe, and thousands of Ukrainian and international companies. Another defining feature of Profpereklad is industry specialization. We work only with highly specialized linguists, because without understanding the subject matter, it is impossible to accurately convey the meaning of the text. Our translators specialize in more than 30 areas. They undergo a thorough selection process and probationary period. Thus we make sure that every project is in good hands.

Profpereklad can cope with challenging large-volume projects with short deadlines because we complete several projects of this type every month. In addition, our specialists can work with complex file formats, drawings, presentations, and brochures, they use special software to manage client terminology and maintain consistency throughout each document.
Project work flow
Our company works according to the ISO 17100 and EN 15038 translation quality standards. Thus, every project goes through several stages, including translation, editing, proofreading, and formatting.
All the stages are described below.
1. Optical character recognition (OCR).
If we receive scanned files, we first recognize them preserving the formatting of the source (including indents, headers, footers, numbered lists, images, etc.).
2. Translation.
The project is assigned to a qualified translator. If the project is large and the deadlines are tight, we form a team of several linguists who work simultaneously. All the specialists have the appropriate industry specialization — this approach ensures a really good result.
3. Editing.
The editor with industry specialization checks the translation for accuracy, completeness, and the use of terminology according to glossaries.
4. Proofreading.
The proofreader checks the translation and corrects spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors, checks formatting and corrects technical errors in the layout.
5. Quality Assurance (QA).
We use special QA software to double-check the text for errors, consistent use of terminology across all project files, and any missing content.
6. Desktop publishing (DTP).
If the source file contains infographics, diagrams, charts, or drawings with text, we format it in the target language 1:1 according to the source. Our DTP experts work in InDesign, AutoCAD, Illustrator, etc.
7. Final check.
We check the finished files after the DTP stage and send them to the client on time.
How do we manage to organize such complex activities? It’s all about proper management of translation projects. Each client is assigned to a team of 2 project managers who know all the client’s needs and wishes. The PMs select linguists, calculate the cost and deadlines, control each stage of work, and ensure that all the client requirements are met.
